Meet the Leadership
John Bruss – Head Instructor & Owner
John is a 3rd-degree black belt under Julio “Foca” Fernandez. He began his training in 2004 and has competed across the U.S., Canada, and Brazil — including the Rio Open. A lifelong martial artist and family man, John is passionate about building both fighters and a strong community. He leads the Adult BJJ and Homeschool programs.

Bobby Ferrante – Kids Program Director
Bobby is a brown belt under John and the driving force behind our Kids & Teens BJJ program. Promoted in July 2024, Bobby has led the youth classes since 2023. His instruction focuses on discipline, fun, and helping young students build real-world confidence and coordination.
